System description
The impact noise control floor system uses GenieMat FF05NP acoustic underlay to provide high acoustic efficiency. The test results of this system are based on a minimum structure consisting of GenieMat FF05NP layer laid below a 60mm floor screed and above a 150mm thick concrete slab. Any possibility of increasing the thickness of the acoustic underlay or increasing the mass or using a suspended ceiling will bring better sound insulation results.
System applicability:
- Hotels, schools, hospitals, offices.
- High-rise apartments, multi-storey villas and areas requiring impact sound insulation.
System components:
Floor Topping | : | Vinyl |
Self-Leveling Mortar | : | LATICRETE Level |
Floor Support | : | Cement Sand Screed (60mm) |
Acoustic Underlay | : | Pliteq GenieMat FF05NP (5mm) |
Structure Substrate | : | Concrete Slab (140mm) |
Suspended Ceiling | : | No |
Acoustic Performance: | IIC56 | STC57 |
Note: Increase the thickness of the acoustic underlays; Increased floor mass; Install suspended ceiling brings higher noise control performance to the system.
