GenieMat RST05

GenieMat® RST05 impact sound insulation mat (5 mm thick) is made from highly elastic recycled rubber, made to be laid directly under wood flooring, ceramic tile or the screed. It effectively eliminates footstep noise and mechanical impact noise, resists sinking and raises the acoustic index (ΔLw 25) for LEED-certified projects.

Key features
- Direct-bond installation: allows ceramic tile, natural stone or wood flooring to be bonded directly onto the mat without necessarily casting a thick screed.
- Built-in crack isolation: good elasticity helps eliminate hairline cracks transmitted from the concrete slab to the tile above.
- High compressive and tear strength: a specially designed load-bearing surface, perfectly compatible with premium polymer cement-based tile adhesives.
- Versatile for every kind of floor: used effectively in both direct-bond finished floor systems and screeded floating floor systems.
- International-standard impact sound insulation: delivers a high IIC for thin finished floor systems, suitable for hotels, serviced apartments and resorts.
Applications
- Under ceramic tile, luxury vinyl tile and engineered wood
- Beneath the floor finish
- Beneath the screed
- Renovation projects
